ADULTS

INQUIRERS/RECEPTION SPRING CLASSES - Thursday’s from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Please join us as we explore the Christian life, the history and sacraments of the Episcopal Church, and the mission and ministry of St. David’s. This short course is open to all who wish to explore and reflect on their faith and Episcopal identity more deeply as well as those who wish to be “Received" into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop in May. Questions for discussion include: What do Episcopalians believe about the Bible? Why is the Book of Common Prayer so important to Episcopalians? Can I have doubts and still be an Episcopalian? How did the Episcopal Church come to be? All of the clergy will be participating in this class. Please contact Elizabeth Keeler with questions, elizabeth@stdavidsdc.org

YOUTH

St. David’s youth, in 9th grade or above, are warmly invited and encouraged to consider Confirmation by participating in confirmation classes being offered in early 2021.  Confirmation can be understood as the way we take an independent journey and make a re-statement of the commitments promised on our behalf at Baptism.  “Confirmands” will be presented for the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Washington National Cathedral in May.

Six confirmation classes will be offered on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. via Zoom and in-person as possible.  We ask that those wishing to be confirmed attend at least five of the six classes.  All of St. David’s clergy will be participating in these classes and we are excited to take this journey with the youth of the parish!  Please be in touch with Elizabeth Keeler with questions and to register.
