Wasting Time with God: Celtic Wisdom for our Anxious Age

Nov. 8, 15 & 22, 3:30-4:45pm

Celtic Christianity invites us to live with greater intentionality, simplicity, and connection—with God, with one another, and with creation. In this gathering we will slow down and explore both the history and practices of Celtic Christianity that help remind us of the sacred in the everyday, to recover rhythms of peace, and nurture community. Come join us as we learn how “wasting time with God” can reorient our lives in ways that bring clarity and calm in an anxious age.

Let Us Pray: Practicing the Art of Prayer

On Wednesdays, October 8, November 12 & December 10, from 7 to 8 pm, the Reverend Jim Quigley is leading a three-part series exploring some of the ways we Episcopalians pray. Our prayers can be formal and informal, and follow patterns found in the Book of Common Prayer and the traditions within our own families (how do you say grace before dinner?). When we pray, we are inviting God’s loving presence and divine guidance.
